UK-based producer and DJ Ollie Macfarlane started producing electronic music when he was about 14, mostly messing around with samples. Now 20, Ollie has moved to Bristol, which has had a profound effect on his sound, with its rich sonic history and exciting nightlife. Ollie brands his music as « Bristol Garage », a hybrid between UK Garage and other influences such as Trip-Hop, Trance, and Drum & Bass. « Someone Warm », his debut EP, was picked up and curated by Get Flavor label owners Stinj and Dakunt. A melody-driven release on Ollie’s part, he is backed up with solid support from remixers The Criime, a duo making waves with their take on Tech-House, Raggo Flame, a collaboration between Dj Mago and Raziek, residents at Radio Los Santos, and Cedaa, US purveyor of Chicago-influenced club bangers, gaining attention from XLR8R, among others.
